Couch Potatoes

I’ve made no secret of the fact that we’ve been watching our fair share of TV lately. I can’t help it though—there’s just something so intoxicating about settling in on the couch with your friends or family, popcorn or ice cream sundae in hand, and getting into a really good series. Though the Oscars are sure to occupy my Sunday night, the forecasted dreary weather, coupled with the addictive quality of Netflix, may encourage me to expand my horizons and start a new show. Then again, I wouldn’t mind revisiting one of my old favorites. Suggestions are welcome!

It's been far too long since I loaded new songs onto my iPod, and even longer since I went for a good jog. Though I tend to get overwhelmed by the onslaught of fitness-related New Year's resolutions around this time of year, I do see the value in setting goals. By mid-January, I'm usually reluctant to venture outside in the cold long enough to work up a sweat, but when I recently put on a FitBit and learned that my average day consists of less than 5,000 steps, I realized that a concerted effort to step up my activity is much needed". To sitting on the couch eating sundaes and watching TV. Short live the New Years Resolution!!
