Shelter from the Storm



The weather in Chicagoland has been highly unpredictable as of late, so we recently took it upon ourselves to duck inside the Lincoln Park Conservatory and get away from it all for a little while. I can’t recommend this historic glass house enough for those looking to mentally escape to an exotic, far-away land.

Produce Aplenty

This past weekend marked the kick-off of many outdoor farmers’ markets in the area and even though it’s early in the season, it couldn’t have been more bountiful (or beautiful) at the Green City Market. Yet another reason that I absolutely love this time of year....

Cinco de Derby

Despite the wet weather, I got up early on Saturday and headed down to the surprisingly desolate City for a misty walk through Lincoln Park.  The equine-themed landscape was a fitting segue into an afternoon spent watching the Kentucky Derby, which was followed by an indulgent late night Cinco de Mayo fiesta.
